We are back!
Can you believe it? It is February already, and I am trying to catch up with my writing.
I had so many plans for January: blog writing, content creating for my social media, job interviews, discerning what's next, and more writing; and then, on the first week of January, I caught some kind of nasty viral sickness and ended up in my room sick for two weeks. Yup, it was yucky!
Thank you, Abba, that it is gone.
Thank you, Jesus, for the healing and strength you give our bodies.
Thank you, mi Senor, for the defenses you designed in our bodies that allows this temple to heal itself no matter how long it takes.
Thank you that joy always comes in the morning, even when there are many nights of mourning.
I am grateful for this February that has become my January--remember, it is always possible to restart and re-ignite our passion at any given point of our journey, my friends.

Lent
Did you know that the Lenten Season starts next week, Wednesday, February 14, on Ash Wednesday? WOOHOO!
Yes, it starts early this year. My brain is asking for a few more weeks to transition from late Ephinany to Lent but time does not wait for us to be ready, Lent is coming, and I do not want to miss it.
I will be publishing some reflections to accompany your journey during the weeks of Lent. I encourage you to take enough pauses during Lent to fully appreciate and contemplate the "mystery of faith: Christ has died, Christ is Risen, Christ will come again". This phrase depicts the redeeming power that confronts our mortality and helps us to find hope. (Please share with your spiritual formation groups.)
I was reading that there is scientific proof that by the third week of January, our minds have moved on from the excitement of the newness of the "New Year." But before it is too late and 2024 takes over our lives, I want to share with you seven lessons that 2023 brought to my life. As challenging and profound as they were, I want to remember and apply them to my 2024 journey. May these inspire your paths in this New Year!
7 Lessons 2023 Brought to my Life
Some people will pray with you through the pain; they will not stop until the pain has disappeared, even through the night.
Joy does come in the morning. I do not know why the pain intensifies at night, but the morning comes, whether because of exhaustion or liberation, the pain subsides.
Pause and silence restores the soul. Add these practices to your daily routines even before your body gets broken. Also, pause and silence regenerate the cells.
Physical, mental, or spiritual healing is a process; we need courage to endure it.
Fear comes before any new endeavor, and positive thoughts without actions cannot overcome it--we also need to dismantle the patterns we have learned that keep us in bondage to fear.
Family is the best medicine. Spend all the time you can find to build your "house", to build each individual in your household. If you are too busy to impact their lives, you are doing too much. Do not be consumed by the fake idea of success.
God is REAL, ALIVE, AND LOVES YOU, and anything that points you in a different direction is not worthy of your time. You can recognize the fakeness because it will quickly fade away.
Enjoy friends!
